Wedding Photography in Sitapur and Central UP
A wedding here is rarely one day. It starts with a haldi in the courtyard, runs through mehndi and sangeet, and only then reaches the baraat, the jaimala and the phere. We cover it the way it actually happens, function by function, rather than arriving for the main day and calling that a wedding.
Full-day coverage runs from the morning preparations to the vidaai. Multi-day coverage adds each function before it, with the same photographers throughout, so nobody has to be introduced to your family twice. On the main day a second shooter works the other side of the room, which is the only way to hold the mandap and the mother's face at the same moment.
Everything is shot in raw, culled, colour graded by hand and delivered as a full digital set alongside a printed album. Winter dates in Sitapur go first, so the earlier you ask, the more likely your date is still open.

02 / Before the wedding
Pre-Wedding Photoshoots
A pre-wedding shoot is the one part of the whole wedding that is unhurried. No guests, no schedule, no function waiting to start. Most couples shoot two to four months before the wedding, which leaves time for the frames to reach save-the-date cards, invitations and the reception screen.
Locations matter more than anything else here, and central UP has better ones than it gets credit for. We scout and shoot around:
- Naimisharanya ghats and temple steps, best in the first hour after sunrise
- The Sarayan and Gomti banks outside Sitapur, open water and long light
- Sitapur's mustard and sugarcane fields from December through February
- Lakhimpur Kheri forest edges and the road into Dudhwa
- Lucknow for the Residency ruins, Ambedkar Park and the old city lanes
A session usually runs two to three outfit changes: one traditional, saree or sherwani, one contemporary, and one the two of you actually wear. Vertical clips are shot alongside the stills, so there is a save-the-date reel without booking a separate video day.

Bridal Photoshoots and Bride Portraits
The hour before a bride leaves the room is the quietest hour of the whole wedding, and it produces the photographs families keep longest. We cover the getting-ready properly: the dupatta being pinned, the kaleere, the chooda going on, the mother's hands in the frame, and the first look in the mirror before anyone else has seen it.
Solo portraits are shot as a set rather than a snatched two minutes between functions. Jewellery, mehndi, the lehenga laid out, the detail work that took a tailor three weeks. Bridal sessions can also run at the studio on their own day, without a wedding attached.

04 / Unposed
Candid Wedding Photography
Candid has become a word studios put on a price list without changing how they shoot. Here it means one thing: nobody is asked to look at the camera. The photographer moves, waits and shoots around what is already happening, instead of stopping it to arrange a row of people.
It is not a replacement for traditional coverage, and any studio telling you to pick one is selling you half a wedding. You need the posed family group with all forty relatives in it, because that is the frame your grandmother wants framed. You also need the vidaai. Both go in the album.

Candid coverage is also why a second shooter is not an upsell. One photographer standing in the right place for a posed group is standing in the wrong place for everything happening behind them.
05 / Nikah and walima
Muslim Wedding and Nikah Photography
A female photographer is available for the bride's side, so the zenana, the getting-ready and the bride's own hall are covered by a woman throughout.
That single arrangement is what most families are actually asking about when they call, and it is easier to answer plainly than to leave it until the meeting. Purdah arrangements are followed as the family sets them, not as we would prefer them.
Coverage runs across mehndi, the nikah itself, the qubool hai and the signing, the mehr, the rukhsati, and the walima on its own day. Where the halls are separate, a second photographer works the men's side while the bride's side is covered by the female photographer, so neither hall is left with an hour of nothing.
The difference from a Hindu wedding shoot is mostly one of pace and access rather than equipment. The nikah is short, quiet and easy to miss, so it is shot without flash and without moving people around.
06 / The ring
Engagement and Ring Ceremony Photography
The ring ceremony is short and almost always indoors, under whatever light the hall happens to have. It is covered the same way the nikah is: quietly, close in, and without asking anyone to do the exchange twice for the camera.
Along with the exchange itself we shoot couple portraits on the day, both families as groups, and the guests who travelled for it. Many couples add a short pre-wedding session on the same date, either that morning or the following one, which is cheaper than booking two separate days and gets the save-the-date frames out of the way.

The functions before the wedding are where families actually relax, and they are the hardest to light. Haldi runs in daylight and ruins white balance with yellow bounce. Mehndi is indoors and slow. Sangeet is dark, loud and moving. Each needs a different setup, and each gets one.

08 / After
Reception and Post-Wedding Photography
The reception is the one function built for photographs, and the one most often shot badly. The stage is lit for the room, not for the camera, and the queue of guests never stops long enough for anyone to compose. We light the stage separately so every guest who comes up gets a usable frame with the couple, not a silhouette.
Along with the entry and the stage line, there is a portrait set away from the queue, usually fifteen minutes taken deliberately. Where a same-day edit is booked, a short film from the earlier functions is cut during the reception and screened before the evening ends.
Post-wedding and next-day shoots are worth considering if the wedding itself ran late. Nobody is on a schedule, the bride is out of full jewellery, and the frames look nothing like the rest of the album, which is the point.

Wedding Cinematography, Video and Drone
Most studios in the district still describe themselves as photographers and treat video as something a cousin handles. Film is shot here by the same team, on the same day, planned together with the stills so the two are never fighting for the same position.

Drone is worth it for the baraat, an outdoor mandap and a venue big enough to read from the air. It is not worth it inside a banquet hall, and we will say so rather than take the money. Where the venue or local rules do not allow flying, that is confirmed before the day rather than discovered on it.

Sitapur, Biswan, Sidhauli, Laharpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow and Kanpur are all covered without a travel surcharge. Beyond that list, travel and stay are quoted as a line you can see rather than folded into the package.
For anywhere needing an overnight, the team travels the day before so the morning functions are not dependent on a road. Equipment travels with us, including backups of the bodies and lenses that matter, because a hired replacement in an unfamiliar town is not a plan. Outstation dates are held on the same terms as local ones.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Sitapur?
It depends on how many days you need covered, how many photographers are on the team, whether film and drone are included, and how far we travel. A single function costs a fraction of a four-day wedding with cinematography. Send us the date and the town and you get a written figure for your wedding rather than a range.
How many photographers will attend my wedding?
One photographer covers a single function. The main wedding day is covered by two, so the ceremony and the family watching it are photographed at the same time. Multi-day weddings, separate halls and film coverage add to that, and the exact team for your date is confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
Do you cover haldi, mehndi and sangeet as well as the main day?
Yes, and they are covered in full rather than as an add-on to the wedding day. Each function is lit differently and planned separately. Most families book the functions and the wedding together, which is also how multi-day coverage is priced.
Do you have a female photographer for the bride's side?
Yes, a female photographer is available on request, for the bridal room, the getting-ready and the bride's own hall. Mention it when you enquire so the team for your date is planned around it from the start rather than arranged late.
Do you cover nikah and walima?
Yes. Mehndi, the nikah and the signing, the rukhsati and the walima on its own day are all covered. Where the halls are separate, a female photographer covers the bride's side while a second photographer works the men's side, and purdah arrangements are followed exactly as your family sets them.
How long does it take to receive the final album?
A teaser reaches you within a few days of the wedding. The full digital set follows once every frame has been culled and graded by hand, and the printed album is sent to press only after you have approved the layout, so the final date depends partly on how quickly the family agrees on the selection.
Do you provide drone coverage?
Yes, where it adds something. A baraat, an outdoor mandap and a large venue are worth flying. A banquet hall is not, and we will tell you so rather than charge for it. Venue permission and local flying restrictions are confirmed before the day, not on it.
What advance is required to hold a wedding date?
An advance holds the date and is set against the total. Until it is paid the date stays open to anyone else asking for it, which matters in the winter season. The amount and the terms are written into the confirmation you receive before you pay.
Do you travel to Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri and Hardoi?
